How many questions and how points are counted

The test has 32 questions: 20 in the basic part (“Yes” or “No” answers) and 12 in the specialist part (three answers, one correct). Questions carry different weights — 3, 2 or 1 point.

Specialist (A/B/C)12642

Easy-going, but careful: you can lose at most 6 points. Three mistakes in 3-point questions are enough to fail — which is why it pays to start with them.

How long the test takes

You have 25 minutes for the whole test. Each question has its own time limit, and once you answer you cannot go back to the previous question. In the basic part you get 20 seconds to read each question and 15 seconds to answer; in the specialist part, 50 seconds per question.

What the exam at WORD looks like

You take the test on a computer in the exam room. Many questions include a photo or a short video of a traffic situation. You see the result right after finishing.

Can I take it in English or Ukrainian?

Yes. The theory test can be taken not only in Polish but also in other languages, including English and Ukrainian. [DO WERYFIKACJI: na jakim etapie wybiera się język i lista dostępnych języków.] If you take it in another language, learn with the translation but look at the Polish original — it makes the terms from the course easier to understand.

How much the theory test costs

Since 2023 exam fees have been set by the regional assemblies (sejmiki), so the amount depends on the region. Check the current price on your WORD’s website or when booking on info-car.pl. [UZUPEŁNIĆ: tabela opłat według województw.]

How to book

  1. Create a Driver Candidate Profile (PKK) at the vehicle registration office — you need, among other things, a medical certificate and a photo.
  2. Get your PKK number — you will need it on the course and when booking.
  3. Book the exam on info-car.pl or directly at WORD and pay for it.
